{Profile: Margaret L. Norcott}
Margaret L. Norcott, Allied ASID earned a Bachelor of Design from the College of Architecture, School of Interior Design at the University of Florida in 1993. She creates unique environments with a timeless aesthetic by mixing different styles with items that are very old and architectural in nature.
Margaret started Milieu Design Group, Inc. in 1996. Margaret’s firm provides full turn-key interior design to simple hourly consultations from paint selections to furniture placement, residential and commercial space planning, custom homebuilder design services and advice for their client’s, model home and set design, as well as, art procurement, custom draperies and more.
Margaret has been a “featured” Designer in the 2003-2006 Alliance Children’s Theater Guild Christmas Show House, as well as the 2005 Dream Home that was held in Country Club of the South and the 2007, 2008 and 2010 Atlanta Symphony Decorator’s Show House & Gardens. In January 2011, Margaret was the Interior Design for The Beverly Hillbillies set at The Next Cool Thing Event which focused on the movie industry now here in Atlanta. The Hillbillies {Take 2} set was the Guest Feature in the “Total Wine & Design” area of the April 2011 Atlanta Home Show. Margaret was also a Featured Speaker, with Conctractor Bernie Smith, on stage at at the Home Show. Margaret was invited back for the 2011 Fall Atlanta Home Show where she created/managed all design aspects of ”The Man Cave” event. Margaret, and contractor Bernie Smith, were asked again to be featued speakers on stage together. Margaret’s work can be seen in February, 2012 at the second annual Next Cool Event (new name) where she will be designing the set, Midnight In The Garden Of Good & Evil with AVI Marvin.
